Mission & Goals

The Society for the Neural Control of Movement serves as a forum for scientists, physicians, and educators who are bound by a common interest in the structural and functional neural systems that underlie the control of movement, and in disorders of these systems. The NCM Annual Conference, held each spring, creates a venue where scientists and their students from around the world can interact, present their most recent findings and discuss major issues in the field.

NCM's Leadership

Elected members govern the Society for the Neural Control of Movement.  These members comprise the Board of Directors who in turn elect Officers that comprise the Executive Committee. The Society's Bylaws govern how the Board manages the Society.

Officers and Board members are elected for three-year terms and may be re-elected to one additional contiguous term. The current Board comprises the following Officers and Directors:
