The  2010 Healthcare Finance News Virtual Conference & Expo will focus on the following topics:

Healthcare Reform-
First legislators addressed access and insurance coverage, what is next? What delivery system reforms can we expect?

Capital Construction Projects-
Many shovel-ready capital projects were put on hold during the recession. Now that health systems are ready to spend money on facility development, what must they take into consideration when starting new projects? Is capital construction different post-recession?

Hospital-Physician Alignment-
One prediction that observers of U.S. healthcare make is that more physician groups will look to link up with hospitals or health systems. What issues are driving such alignment and how will it work in practice?

Strategic Pricing-
What are best practices for creating competitive and defensible pricing at your hospital or health system?

ICD-10 Snapshot-
Where are providers today with their ICD-10 strategies?

Revenue Cycle Management-
What some hospitals or healthcare systems are doing to optimize their revenue cycle? Emphasis on best practices.

RAC Compliance-
How have hospitals and physician practices dealt with Medicare RAC audits in 2010? What to look for in 2011.

Affordable Care Act, Section 1104-
This act, part of the Health Reform bill, adjusts HIPAA’s administrative simplification provisions by requiring the Secretary of Health and Human services to adopt standards for health care transactions which enable point-of-care eligibility determinations; minimize the need for paper attachments to claims submissions; describe all data elements (including reason and remark codes) in unambiguous terms, require that such data elements be required or conditioned upon set values in other fields, and prohibit additional conditions (except where necessary to implement State or Federal law, or to protect against fraud and abuse).  How will this adjustment affect your organization?

Medical Loss Ratio-
Once strictly an internal metric used only by payers, this financial statistic is a key ingredient of the 2010 healthcare legislation.  What role will this metric play in your organization?
                            .

Medical Banking-
Medical Banking fosters the advancement of an efficient, consumer-centric and global healthcare financial network using an industry leading and neutral educational platform.  Hear from the Medical Banking Project's three taskforces on their current efforts.
