How to prepare your abstract

Your abstract is a short statement designed to give the reader a complete, yet concise, understanding of your paper's research and findings.

A model abstract should include the following elements:

  • a statement of the purpose of your study
  • the research methodology used to arrive at your results
  • the results observed
  • any conclusions drawn

Deadlines

  • First draft due February 15th
  • Full paper due March 31st
  • Presentation file due May 15th
