Important information - Please read before continuing:

(1) If you have registered for the previous SOLAS Open Science Conference in 2015 please use your existing username and password to login (login button top right) before clicking the Register/Pay here bottom below.  If you have forgotten your username please send an email to solas-osc@geomar.de and we will get back to you soon.

(2) It is possible to register now and pay later. If you have forgotten your username when you come back to pay, please do NOT create a new user account. Instead, email your request to solas-osc@geomar.de and we will get back to you soon.

(3) Payment options will be presented as the last step of the registration process after clicking the button `Finish Registration`.

(4) Please be patient during the registration process in case the website is slow in loading the next page.

(5) Confirmation email of your registration might not be sent instantly but will arrive in your inbox soon after finishing the registration process.

  • Participants qualify as students if they are pre-PhD level or a PhD student
  • A list of countries classified as developing is available **here**
  • Accompanying person is considered a child if he/she is between 3 and 15 years old
  • Children under the age of three do not require a registration.
To receive the early registration fee, payment must be received 30 November 2018
(11:59 pm CST).

If payment is not received by 30 November 2018 the normal registration fee will apply.
If you register after 30 November 2018, please pay immediately to confirm your participation.

Registration fee includes:
-Admission to the conference (incl. poster and discussion sessions)
-Conference magazine
-Welcome reception on Sunday
-Coffee breaks
-Conference banquet on Wednesday

Payment procedure:
If you have registered and did not pay immediately, to pay please login (login button top right) and click on the "Register/Pay here " button on the Registration/Payment page. This will redirect you to the payment page. To receive the early registration fee, payment must be received no later than 19 December 2018. If you have forgotten your username when you come back to pay, please do NOT create a new user account. Instead, email your request to solas-osc@geomar.de.
The registration fee payment will be made to the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR), one of the SOLAS sponsors.


Cancellation policy:
A written notification of cancellation must be sent to SOLAS by email to solas-osc@geomar.de.
If you have paid and cancel before 17 March 2019, an administrative fee of 40 US$ will be retained.
The remaining will be refunded. Requests for refunds can not be processed after 17 March 2019.
